On Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 5-7 pm (EST), The SUNY Downstate Global Health Club at State University of New York Medical Center, will be hosting a screening of "The Right to Heal".
Location: SUNY Downstate Medical Center, 395 Lenox Road, Brooklyn, NY 11203.
The SUNY Global Health club promotes global health awareness among medical students and educates students about global health programs/opportunities available for medical students.
While some students have lived abroad or worked in a global health setting, many medical students have had limited exposure to global health issues, including global access to essential surgery. The purpose of the screening is to expose all students to global health, global surgery and to encourage students to think about the pertinent issues.
About 50-100 medical students, nursing students, other health profession students and faculty are expected to attend. A big Thank You to Host, Daniel Polla (MS2) for organizing the event and extending a gracious welcome.
