Screening: Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 12:15PM at the Health Sciences Building, University of Alaska, Anchorage, Alaska
We are proud to announce the screening of "The Right to Heal" to first year UW medical students, a class of 20 Alaskan students, interested in careers in surgery and global health, who are part of the WWAMI program. This is a regional program that allows students from Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho to attend UW as their "state" medical school.
Our host, Harvard graduate, Kristen Jorgensen, a first year medical student at UW in the WWAMI program stated, "I think it is incredibly important to demonstrate that providing health care globally is not restricted to primary care, but rather encompasses all types of medicine." Other health science students are invited, including nursing, physician assistants, and nurse-practioners.
